She set a 5 minute timer for him to agree to follow decorum. He declined, so he remains out of the courtroom.

They really should just do a side-by-side video while she is reading the charges. We got a ways to go, might as well see Brooks acting a fool

DA closing should be 20 seconds:

Not really sure what else to say. I think we have proven all charges beyond a reasonable doubt and So did Mr Brook's own witnesses on his "defense." His witnesses put him as the driver of the SUV and showed no remorse. Happy to end this here so you all can go home quickly. Thank you for your service

Over/under on the # of times he will object in the State’s closing? I say 75.

Brooks also said during his "opening" that he didn't argue with the facts of the case.

Some judge tossing this conviction would seem to me (not a lawyer) to create a ridiculously dangerous precedent for defendants who have no real chance of really benefiting from legal counsel

Totally agree. I (not a lawyer) think it would lay out a terrible blueprint where it would be beneficial to appear pro se then intentionally derail proceedings and insist you don't know what's going on. There's no way that can be upheld.

Does anyone on here think the jury will find him not guilty on a single one of the charges?

I am guessing they will quickly appoint a foreman, take a blind poll when they first get in there, and wont even discuss a single charge. All 12 will vote guilty on all 78 the first vote.

They will take more time picking a foreman and filling out the verdict form, than actually discussing the charges....

Normally I am suspect of the defense getting at least one sympathizer on the jury in cases like these, but did Brooks basically skip over jury selection? I didn't see that part.

I know he tried to strike the whole jury pool. Otherwise, I don't know how he handled it either.

Joke's on the jury. He'll simply not consent to being charged with those crimes and he'll be set free.

I have not been able to keep up with this.

Does Wisconsin have the death penalty?

They've got 78 forms to fill out...i think it takes them 5 mins to elect the foreman, 2 minutes to vote guilty for all and 90 mins to fill out and sign the 78 forms.
