That's going to lead to an all day hissy fit.

This is Brooks' Last Stand. Refusing to acknowledge his right to testify or not testify. Not gonna work, and i think she rests his defense for him shortly.

ETA this is my first time checking 4chan during the trial. They call her Judge Bayonetta

I’m a little bummed that we may not see the total and utter debacle of him testifying

Agreed. She's protecting her butt right now for an appeal. He'll lose again.

If she still did Friday, the shite he said about her would have cleared that right up. Who speaks about their mom like that when she was the ONLY human in the world defending him.

What is the deal with him not consenting to being called by his name?

Irony abounds in this trial. But Brooks just "tackitly" agreed to not call any additional witnesses or testify in his own defense.

Darrell Brooks is the named defendant. If he is not, in fact, named Darrell Brooks, how can he be guilty of the crimes in the complaint?

Think about it man…..he’s playing 4d chess on these fools with their law school degrees

Has he given a name he wants to be called?

He’s referred to himself as a “3rd party intervenor”

Someone told him if he pretends to be nameless then the prison can't book him because you can't leave the "name" field blank in the computer or it won't let you go to the next screen.

Pretty genius defense imo.

It's streaming. Brooks tacitly invoked his right to not testify and had no additional witnesses. He then tacitly rested his case.

Jury has been dismissed for the day and the Judge and parties will engage in crafting the instructions they will receive for deliberation. Hopefully they will receive the instructions and closing statements tomorrow. Deliberation would then most likely begin Wednesday morning.

Bold prediction: Brooks tries to call his mom or testify tomorrow, arguing he never agreed to waive his rights.
