What in Brooks' mind tells him it's a good idea to call witnesses who are going to say they saw him run people over
He's trying to prove it wasn't intentional. That's why he asked this guy if it looked like he was trying to avoid people initially.

Which is of course ridiculous as never used that thing called a brake pedal

It's absolutely ridiculous but it's the only thing he can do since it not being intentional would keep him out of prison for the rest of his life.

Still doesn't understand that cross examination can ask leading questions.

I think he does he just objects to every question because it takes up time. Even if it's only 5 seconds that has added up over the last 3 weeks.

His mother didn't want her face shown on a news interview. She will be thrilled about the subpoena.

It's also ridiculous because Brooks thinks some mythical person coercing him to run over these people is reasonable doubt for the jury. It's essentially "how did you know Chewbacca wasn't making me run over those people?"

I do like when he asks those ridiculous questions such as the "what do you mean by estranged girlfriend?" and "you said 'you'. What do you mean by 'you'?"

He keeps trying to get the fact that he beat his GF in the record for some reason.
Can’t wait till he questions her
Can’t wait till he questions her

What document is he trying to get in?

Apart from his insanity at the beginning of the day he hasn't done bad so far with his questions. The witnesses haven't helped him at all and are pointless but these questions aren't bad at least.

Because he's a monster who gets off to remembering it and the rest of his carnage.

Did she do a recent interview? I saw one from a few weeks ago, but couldn't find a recent one.

Yeah the questioning about the recollection of it being a blazer was at least a decent direction to try

Apparently, the public defender put together the whole file for him and wrote questions for all witnesses.

That makes sense as to why he is doing so much better with his direct than he ever did on cross.

To quote Nick Rekieta, "they aren't bad questions, they just don't mean anything for him"

Yeah nothing to cross there, that was utterly pointless other than to I guess cast doubt on Patterson, but he isn’t being tried for beating her up
Posted on 10/21/22 at 9:43 am to MFn GIMP
He really wants the world to know he beat the shite out of Patterson
The prosecution is objecting to protect him from himself (opening the door to more stuff that was tossed out pre-trial)
