That would be maddening. Everyone knows he is guilty and he’s searching for some technicality.
Ridiculous.
Just inject the guy tonight and be done with it.

I'm hooked out of morbid curiosity really. Someone compared it to watching an average dude getting thrown into an NFL game.
If there are any lawyers still around, it's safe to say an actual attorney would've been disbarred for doing/saying just a fraction of the things Brooks has so far this trial, right?

How is that different from almost every single defense attorney in this country that represents pieces of shite like Darrell Brooks?

Brooks thinks if someone says they don't recall the exact time they got run over, or if they don't remember the phone number of the officer they reported him to, that it's a technicality and he can be acquitted.

I don't think they've taken an afternoon break yet

They have not. They did take a break so the judge could talk to Brooks, though, and they went to lunch late. The judge is trying to stop by 5 if possible.

This guy has had a long day.
Posted on 10/18/22 at 4:48 pm to Wayne Campbell
it's finally over
the detective took the stand at the end of yesterday... like the final 30 minutes or so of court yesterday
then he was on the stand all day today... except for the like 45 minutes they talked to the Spanish-speaking gentleman who was Brooks' witness out of turn due to the availability of the interpreter

I don't know if the prosecution can finish tomorrow the way this is going. I foresee a long argument about whether Brooks has to go see the car unless she shuts him down and has him drug there.
ETA: And, he has to turn in the witnesses and when he will call them. I suspect he doesn't provide that.

Nice guy made him a sandwich and he didn't even eat it. He stuffed it in his pocket.
