This inlet piece on my tankless water heater cracked. You think some epoxy can fix it until I can get a replacement part?

Now thats a lot of damage

It's funny. Watching that gif in slo-mo, you can see the patch bulging. That patch definitely failed.

Super glue TBH
Epoxy even better.

In all honesty, yes that would likely work...
Or duct, flex seal, etc. Whatever will temp plug for a longer solution. Just has to last a few days

I don't see a thing.
But I agree with two others that JB Weld is the way to go. And they have a high heat if that part does get hot.

The crack is the grey line in the red circle. This is the water inlet so cold water. I think some water froze in it last night. I think the hardest part will be opening up the crack to get some epoxy or jb weld in there. Just need it to hold for over week so that I can have time to get the part.

As others have said, JB weld

You don't need to get the JB Weld or a epoxy in the crack. All you need to do is shut the water off, dry the crack area off really well, And lay in a big hunk of the stuff over the crack overlapping the crack by about a 1/2 inch in every direction. Let that stuff set up hard at least an hour longer than the directions say and then turn the water back on and see if it holds. If you can reach in try roughing up the effected area with some sand paper, will give the epoxy a better surface to bond to.

A week huh? That's what I said several years ago when I fixed a pipe with JB weld. I consider it permanent at this point.

I’ve temporarily rigged up cracked plastic fittings on cars before and had the best luck applying a thin glue or chemical solvent in the crack followed up by lightly “welding” over it with a solder gun. Plain old oatey regular pvc cement has THF(solvent that melts plastic) that is thin enough to seep into the crack a bond it back together.

Why don't you ask your husband to help you?

The best part of that clip is you can already see the seal start to fail and bulge out.
