I do wonder where A longe and Sohne would be today if the soviets didn’t confiscate their factories and brand after the war.

Imagine starting over decades later.

Typical Speedmaster MotM for me. Get bored? Change straps.

Been out if the game for a while, but the snowflake GS would be nice. It’s just too flashy and hard to dress down with a nato.

My daily is a GS SBGP009 with the 9F quartz. Previously wore an Explorer 214270. Personally prefer the GS because I can wear other watches without needing to reset, plus I have the date now. Champagne dial is great too.

But top GS benefit is that it's under the radar

Totally agree. Started with a speed master professional then went through Rolex phase then got a calatrava 6119r then my last 4 pickups were the Rolex day date I pictured above and three lange’s.

When I pick them up, I don’t think a brand does nicer things. To me, the holy trinity wouldn’t exist because there would be only one on top if the brand hadn’t gone away for decades…
