My wife has friends that got the all in one dryer washer units and they all love them. Considering trying one out. What have you guys been hearing about these.

I made my decision to get a speed queen over a year ago based on TD's recommendation. One of the best decisions I've made. Love the damn thing.

For the most part most consumer grade appliances these days suck. Planned obsolescence.

Get a cheap Maytag. Replace parts when it breaks. There are enough youtube videos out there for just about any issue you have with the washer.

I've replaced the solenoid on my washer. Just last week I replaced the suspension rods. I was able to pinpoint the issue both times just by googling the problems the washer was having.

I've done the same for the dryer.

Our whirlpool 24 year old washer just bit the dust. RIP sweet friend. Replaced it with LG set.

Buy a SPEED QUEEN. It is the ONLY correct answer.

If you don't go Speed Queen then a Maytag is a great option

no frills option you can fix with a YouTube video

same... when we were young and stupid and first time homeowners, we had to have the top of the line shite, and that shite broke within 2 years... said frick it, no one cares what kind of fricking washing machine and dryer i got, so went with old regular arse shite, and lasted at least 4 times longer, and was a lot cheaper to replace when the heating element in the dryer went out

My old washer is unbalanced.

I just keep using it. I don't have the money to fix it.

Have you tried leveling it with the little legs on the bottom?

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio. It’s been going strong since 2018 and with 4 kids that thing runs every single day.

I trust the guy's opinion that fixes appliances for a living. We have a Maytag Commercial washer and a Speed Queen dryer. I didn't know about Speed Queen when we bought the washer.

I have no complaints about either. Simple, no frills, and just do what they were designed to do. Washer is about 7-8 years old. Dryer is maybe 5. Never had an issue with either.

My speed queen is 10 years old and was taken apart, cleaned, and put back together after the flood. Moved 3 times and is still going strong. I have AWN model.

My handyman tried to straighten it out.

He's reasonable. The popular home repair guy charges 100 just to come out, and I don't like his attitude.

A brand new Amana for $500 at Lowe’s. A cheap but reliable model more akin to old school washers. Basic functions. No bells and whistles. That’s just more things to break.

How long does a wash take? I don’t see a quick wash on there.

The deep water options take about 40 minutes from pushing the start button to finish.
