What I hate most about Reddit can be the moderators. I've been permabanned from multiple subreddits for the most mundane thing. I wasn't trolling, I wasn't being disrespectful or attacking anybody, I was just having civil discourse. But because I had an opinion that was different than the majority of the sub, I get banned.

TD can be a bit of an echo chamber as well, but at least you're allowed to speak your thoughts. Even if you receive 100 downvotes, and the thread is full of people calling you a dumbass. You are still allowed to post. That's what I respect about this place.

I think this website has a conservative bent to it without question, but it doesn't seem as keen on active censorship like Reddit is, nor does getting downvotes hide your posts, so I think it is actually better for having a discussion on a topic then your average subreddit.

The average Progressive can't grasp this difference at all. Any difference of opinion should result and banning/canceling. That is how they operate. So naturally, they try and project that everywhere else.

Remember, it is you that is the Nazi if you don't agree with them. They and their leaders make it clear what they want to do to "nazis". Censoring and jailing are just the start.....

Someone here posted a pic of the moderators a while back.

Exactly what you expected them to look like: awkward looking white people that will censor any and all speech they don't like.

I set up an account to post there on a mobile game board. They banned me because I used a George Carlin quote on my sig line.

Only useable for hobbies. Sadly frickers will spill politics into those hobbies. I just report them for not being relevant to the group. For example the genealogy subreddit I follow had some dumbass try to tie in his homosexuality and politics into a post today. Goes on about the Mormon church and bullshite. He isn't even American though so I don't know why he's worried about the Mormon church's records.

You have to realize that a significant part of the posters on Reddit are actual children

I got perma-banned from r/NewOrleans for simply suggesting that Latoya was wrong for shuttering businesses during Covid. Wasn't even disrespectful or anything, just claimed that I felt it was wrong.

Tells you all you need to know.

Are you a moderator on r/whitepeopletwitter or r/antiwork or both

Trying to discuss actual issues with things like homelessness and crime will also get you a lot of shite.

However, game threads on r/CFB are a lot of fun for shitposting

The college baseball subreddit is pretty great. Basically just Texas teams shitting on each other with an occasional “SEC GOAT” post

Some gold on there like when /r/drama banning everyone who ever posted in /r/teenagers for being underaged then getting hundreds of messages from 30+ year olds saying that they shouldn’t have been banned.

A good bit of reddit can be so damn left, i's actually insane. I saw a post on r/news that said the police has done more damage to this country than the KKK ever has. And that post had over 100 upvotes

I've gotten called a right-wing extremist on Reddit many times. Yet the funny thing is, if I were to post on the Poliboard here more often, they would call me a leftist.

As I post in these threads, google image search "reddit meetup" to have some perspective on the folks that spend their lives on the site and control its content.

my favorite part of reddit is the random subreddit that has nothing to do with politics making r/all because they can link a negative Trump story to their niche.

2024 election is going to be a blast.

The slightest bit of ribbing gets you kicked out of CFB Reddit. Not saying that everywhere has to be SECRant but they are real quick to give out warnings
