I think I am ok. Getting checked out at hospital but think I’ll be alright.

What are the steps in getting everything taken care of with insurance? I have the crash report number and the final report should be available in 10 days. Already filed claim with my insurance
Additional info: pretty sure my car will be deemed totaled and accident was the other drivers fault

Usually my first call is to my insurance agent and not the OT...

Call your insurance agent/company. You'll need to start a claim. Let them fight other driver for reimbursement. that won't affect your premiums. Save receipts. Good chance your insurance will pay for a rental so get that ball rolling.

Oh yeah. Ibuprofen!!! The next few days will be rough.

Your insurance company should take care of you through the entire process and deal with everything for you, unless you have GO Auto or something dodgy like that.

Make sure you’re really ok.
Their Insurance company will be calling you.. say nothing about if you’re ok or not. Get ready for some bullshite with the other insurance company.

It was a 15 year old car. I had minimum insurance. Apparently that is a feature you must select

Probably because he didn't pay the few dollars to include rental cars in his policy.

Its gonna cost $10,775 for stitches too btw

Step 1, edit this part out.

Step 2, get Gordon, get it done.
(And ask for the daughter)

If police said your not at fault and the other driver has insurance even if it’s state minimum than then the person at fault’s insurance has no choice but to give you rental until your car is repaired if it is deemed totaled than you will have 7-10 days to purchase a new vehicle until insurance stops paying for the rental... make a claim with your insurance first and if your not at fault call a lawyer.. a lawyer may take a big % of the money, but it cost you nothing and in the long run you will end up with WAY more than you would get with just settling with the insurance company

Try calling the other driver’s insurance company.

And as previous poster said when there insurance company calls you don’t tell them anything, other than what the police report says... and tell them your lawyer will be in touch with them... and law firms like Gordon and stuff you can call them, give then the general gist of it over the phone, and they will have someone at there office come down to your house and get into all the detailed stuff, and then you don’t have to talk to your insurance company or the person at faults company because all communication will have to go through the lawyer...
