Walt Disney World Trip Review 01 November-06 November 2015

We went for the first time on the 4th of July and loved it so much we had to go back for more. My family consists of myself, my wife (pregnant), a 2 year old, and a 1 year old. We were staying at Caribbean Beach Resort (CBR) this time as opposed to Port Orleans French Quarter (POFQ) like last time. I had some reservations about not staying at POFQ like last time because of the great experience. Since it was a pirate themed room and "recently" renovated I decided to give it a shot although POFQ was exactly the same price.

Check in a CBR went okay. I could already tell the vibe wasn't there for me that I felt at POFQ. The cast members at the desk were not as detail oriented as those at the POFQ. For the most part however the check in went more smoothly than lets say your standard Hilton. I forgot about the parking pass and apparently so did the cast member so I had it delivered to the room. We were assigned room 3755. Compared to my room at the POFQ it was definitely more nice as it in fact had been recently renovated. Beware however that the building does not have an elevator. Never in my life had I thought to ask before being assigned a room on the second floor if the building did in fact have an elevator. Now an elevator isn't a huge deal until it's 10pm and you have a 2 and 1 year old sleeping in their strollers and you need to lug it up the stairs. For a moderate resort I would say the stay quality was good. The only downside is the pirate themed rooms are in Trinidad South which is the last bus stop for the entire resort which is huge. With that being said we were on some buses that were very packed but never were turned away because they were too full. That evening we went to dinner at 1900 Park Fare. The food there was the best I have ever had at any character dining in WDW. Absolutely can not say enough good things about this place. The characters spent alot of quality time with the kids. Later that night we went to Disney Springs and as usual a world class shopping and dining experience there.
02 NOV
We were at Magic Kingdom (MK) for rope drop. Had breakfast at Be Our Guest (BOG) which was amazing. The eggs florentine were the best eggs florentine I have ever had period. The festival of fantasy parade is a can't miss and as usual it was on point. The Geter family from Livingston were actually the parade marshalls which was nice to see someone from Louisiana.

EPCOT- Club Cool was a letdown as usual. I always want to go to this place but it always falls short. Some standouts from EPCOT are the cream cheese pretzel, grapefruit hefeweizen (which is unbelievably refreshing on a 90+ degree day in November), and the ice cream coffee from France. Askershus was great as usual for dinner.
04 NOV
Animal Kingdom was Animal Kingdom. Tusker House for lunch was awesome as usual. I also tried to jalapeno cream cheese pretzel which I preferred to the earlier standard cream cheese pretzel. Later in the day we went to the Osborne Family lights at Hollywood Studios. I cannot state this enough. YOU MUST SEE THIS. Apparently it is the last year they are ever doing it.
05 NOV
Another MK day just redoing things we love and cleaning up anything we've missed. Had lunch at BOG I had the tuna salad which was great and the wife had the prime roast which combined with the horseradish sauce was top notch. We also went to the pool at Old Port Royale at CBR. The pools are very nice especially the kids section. Would definitely recommend the pools if you are heavily into that kind of thing while at WDW. Ate at Chef Mickeys that evening for dinner and I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. The character interactions were fine but the food is terrible.
06 NOV
Just hung out around the pool again at the resort before we headed out around 12pm.
CONS of the trip
Moslems-I'm not sure if it was just a bad week for them being there, but it takes away from the Disney experience having to be constantly on guard with them around.
Overall another successful WDW vacation!! I can't wait to go back next year, but I will definitely be staying in the POFQ next time.

Been on the edge of my seat waiting for this

I don't see how dragging a one year old, a two year old and a pregnant wife all around Disney could be anything other than pure misery unless you had a full-time sitter with you on the trip

Do you go just for the food?

Eh, it's pretty lame by today's light show standards. It still stuck in Budweiser commercial standards when light shows have moved on to individual pixel control.

How about the folks who go there and don't even have kids. That is fricking strange.

You are pathetic and sad.

I would have read this with enthusiasm if Randall was a Disney employee.

I personally think that kids don't get the full experience until they are 6 or 7 years old. Younger than that is a waste and a hassle.

How is it a waste when they are free? Not only free for Park admission but also free for dinner?

Uh there not free unless they're under 3
