re: Walmart isn’t great, but why are some on this board prissy women about going in there?

I don't get why anyone would want to go to WM? There's nothing they sell that can't be found somewhere else, many times at lower costs and/or better qualty.

I live in a small town. Our only options are Walmart and Sprouts. Admittedly, when I’ve lived in large cities I rarely went to WM.

However, last week I compared online shopping between Amazon vs Walmart on some house staples - toilet paper, paper towels and cat litter. Walmart beat their price on all three and offered free one day delivery to my house.

This is likely the correct response in here, but I hit WM when I need to and I don't think I've literally had any issues there before. The staff is always pretty nice to me (even if they don't always know what is going on or where something is). Sure, you may see some crazy people here and there, but living in Baton Rouge that happens almost everywhere.

It's always funny to me how people think they are better than WM, but then turn around and go to Target when it's almost the exact same place. But then again, I guess maybe people care more about "superiority" than I do. I'm not above going to WM for shite I need.

Exactly. Same crap, similar prices.

I shop at a Fred Meyer, its roughly the same. Riff raff and rich, they all shop at the same store.

When I was hunting in Missouri a couple of weeks ago I had to go into one. I was amazed. It was clean, organized, staff was friendly, and I didn't have to have somebody unlock a plexiglass door so that I could buy a razor.

It's a Louisiana based message board. Everyone is insecure about being trashy because they are more than likely trashy.

Target went to shite.

At least WalMart has 45 self checkouts to get people in and out. Target always has a huge bottleneck.

I don’t go to Walmart bc I don’t like their meat and veggies. Not going to go to one store for those then to Walmart for dry goods. I’ll just get it all in one store.

For grocery, WalMart is pretty much the lowest cost store.

Their produce is horrendous but even packaged groceries can be cheaper other places. I didn't say everything was cheaper but many times, even when not on sale, they aren't the cheapest.

Great Value bread. A loaf of white is $1.42.

Its all from the same factory anyways.

“Regular folk” are often fat, rude, and disgusting

I don’t blame anyone who pays to avoid them

So are irregular folk.

Theyre just far more passive aggressive and less capable of handling stress.

You buying the cheapest shite they have doesnt make them the cheapest on everything but yeah, Winn Dixie has bread for $1.49

Many things found at Wal Mart can be found cheaper other places.

Odd, where I live the Walmart produce is MUCH better than the Winn-Dixie produce, and the Walmart pricing and choices for chicken is much better too. Walmart beats Winn-Dixie on quality and price. Our Winn-Dixie threw in the towel and sold out to Aldi.

Publix does have better produce than Walmart. But their prices are so high I rarely shop there, unless they are running some good 2 for 1 specials.

We have one Walmart here that is like stepping into Central or South America.

I hope they all have a safe trip back home.

Never go to Walmart where I live because it's an urban area with independent choices.

Spend a lot with my Mom in a small town in the Florida panhandle where I may be the only person under 70 that will go to numerous local shops (the old Ace hardware, farmer's market, local houseware shop etc) to buy any option aside from Walmart.

I like the small town America where smaller shops support more middle class people making a living there.

Walmart is a pain in the fricking arse with all their bullshite such as no checkout people. The people who do work there don't give a frick about anything. I avoid it at all costs.

We had one here but it closed. It was awesome. No lines, parking was easy, etc. Filipinos that worked there were really good workers.

Unfortunately it closed, now the remaining shops are always crowded.
