When I was poor in college I used to take those Visa gift cards to bars when they got down to $5-10, run up a tab and then just leave it.
I'm ashamed of it now, but it was brilliant back then.

It's the owners fault if he's letting people keep rollover tabs. I still don't understand why when the tab is started the credit card isn't provided and swiped or left behind the bar until the tab is paid that day. If the person leaves, the tab can be closed out. Problem solved.
