Nothing.

People are stupid.

...but it's not a great gift unless she asks for it, imo.

I think it's a weird concept for the commercial

But the criticism relies on the idea that Peloton is some torture device that slave-owning husbands make their wives do for a year and video tape their progress

as opposed to the reality of it being an expensive toy that suburban moms covet the hell out of and would love to be subjected to

I don’t get the outrage at all.

This is nothing more than some insecure women getting upset and a bunch of soy boys and the pop media falling along with a herd mentality.

There is nothing wrong. Some women out there just refuse to believe that a wife wants to look good for her husband and that he is forcing her to do so.

In fairness I don't think Peloton wants anyone thinking the commercial is about a wife "wanting to look good for her husband."

The horror.

I now understand why we can’t have this.

Well my point is that I'm sure Peloton wants the takeaway to be how much personal growth and satisfaction she got from the Peloton and that the video is just her documenting that as a "thank you" to her husband

Obviously there is nothing wrong with a wife wanting to look good for her husband, but good luck making a major commercial about that motivation in 2019

Bunch of fatties who feel bad about how disgusting they look, but are too lazy to do anything about it.
