maybe, i think it’s more about the optics of this case for him.
He should be more pissed at the difference in each community’s response to the crime.

Until these high crime neighborhoods start turning in the criminals that live within them, there is no amount of external outrage that will help.

It’s pretty sad that you can’t see that this is much more personal as several posters her know her & her family

It’s pathetic that you feel the need to come into the thread insinuating people are racist because they don’t post as much about one murder as they do about another

Or they could just grieve on their own without a bunch of strangers virtue signaling about the BR crime problem.

The amount of virtue signaling that happens when a black person gets killed by cops, especially white ones, crushes this discussion by magnitudes of universes.

This.

Most communities which have a death will rally behind the deceased and demand the killer be found.

One particular community? Wall of silence whenever anyone dies unless a cop is the one who does it.

Wait the OT said the local media was trying to bury the story? Why are they reporting on it if so?

Can they not just check cell phones in the area?

Yeah, that happens all the time.

I've seen this posted a couple times and want to address it as someone who has done it.

First, you have to write search warrants to every single cell company. It's a bunch.

In that you put the location of the crime and a time frame, along with the PC, which amounts to "We're out of fricking other options" as it is considered, legally, a huge invasion of privacy due to the blanket nature of the information requested.

Then you have to hope all the following occur:

You get those records back in a quick time fashion. Reality: it could be months for some of these half arse cell companies.

The cell towers are all in close proximity to the location. Otherwise you're going to get thousands upon thousands of numbers.

The perp or perps had a cell phone on them.

The perp or perps were registered to that number and it wasn't a prepaid phone or under another person's name.

By some miracle, you are able to narrow alllllll that down to a good suspect. Without additional evidence, it's worthless.

All that to say it can be done, should be done if necessary, but in no realm is it magic or anything other than a last ditch hail mary attempt.
