Vivant Security: those of you've that have/had them, opinions?

They came by and said they could offer more cameras and lower my bill from ADT. Reviews complain about service, issues with equipment working properly, and cameras needing to be replaced.
So for those of you that use the service or have used the service, what is your recommendation

I’m more of a brick and mortar type, you know, couple armed guards, dobermanns, a moat, really tall gates.

It’s a scam.
Friends have used them with heavy disappointment. Good luck getting them to come back and service the equipment when it fails.

My only experience with them was when one of their people came by my house and was super pushy about getting me signed up right now. Dude wouldn't take no for an answer. It turned me off of the company big time.

Earlier this year channel 2 ran a story on them. Equipment not installed correctly, equipped not functioning and then no one to service the equipment. I don’t know anyone who has Vivant that is happy with it.

I advise you check your local BBB and see how many class action lawsuits they have either lost or have pending.

He came back a week later while I was out of town for work and talked to my wife. She told him that he had already talked to me and that we were happy with what we had and no thanks on his speech. I was fricking pissed when I heard this shite. I found the little bastard in my neighborhood about a week later and told the little fricker not to ever harass my wife/family again.
I tried to talk to Vivint "corporate" but I"m not sure they even have a corporate department that talks to customers or potential customers.

They will treat you like a king until they get the paperwork signed and their equipment in your house. After that you don't exist unless you don't pay your bill. They will NEVER come service anything unless you threaten to or actually stop paying.

Not true!
They WILL show up and harass you about getting referrals for other possible customers until you threaten them to leave you alone. I have there service and we haven't had problems except from the above.

Knew some people that had it. They liked it but said the the only downside was some cameras would randomly go out.

Me either, I told him several times I was happy with our service. He wanted to know the type of system we had, how many cameras, etc...
I ended up being rude but the dude could not take a hint

In Louisiana you must be licensed by the State Fire Marshal to sell security. Ask him for his license which he won’t have then ask him to leave
