I know the Belaire area is complete shite, Is Tara getting that way too?

Also, back in the day Belaire HS had lots incredibly fine & good looking chicks go there

N Harco ain't by Tara baw. Tara is fine. And yes Belaire used to not be a shithole. It's one of the worst schools in BR now

I know I've been gone a long time, but that blows my mind. When we moved to BR, that was an older established part of Sherwood. We lived in a new part of the subdivision. Now, I guess that whole area looks more like NBR?

I remember a friend and I getting up before dawn and riding our bikes all over the place until the sun came up. We were in junior high, and it felt like a big adventure (two girls). Now it would be stupid and we'd probably never make it home. Makes me both sad and angry at what Baton Rouge has become.

This shooting that happened on Harco drive is no where near Tara. Tara, the school and the neighborhood, is in the Goodwood/Airline/Old Hammond/Lobdell area. You can't find a house in their under $300k, and if you do, it needs major repairs and work, and if you did that work, you could make a nice profit on that house.

Harco is all the way by Flannery/choctow and Florida, which is not a good area, nor has it been a good area this century.

Tried to get a couple of friends to sign on for an August jaunt down to Playa Mujeres in Mexico for a little resort time. They all reacted like I was a mad man because of it being “dangerous”, meanwhile right here in Baton Rouge...

there used to be a site that had a frequently updated violent crime map for EBR. RedStickNow.com? BatonRougeCrime.com? I wish they were still active but I can find anything similar anymore.

I'm well aware of where both are located and nowhere in my question did I imply that they were close to each other.

I'm a New Orleans native and have only been in BR since I started at LSU in 2011 but is there a reason why Tara and Broadmoor HS are only 5 mins away from each other? Are there that many HS students in that area?
