AGree a thousand percent. I recall sitting in class at high school as they announced locals killed in action that week. Luckily it ended before I graduated

How exactly is your father dying in Vietnam relevant to any of this?

You’re Dad died so these people have a right to protest. It’s what this country and the constitution were founded upon.

You're right. Your father died upholding the Constitution which explicitly frowns upon protests.

Fair point but typically the servicemen say they are fighting to protect American freedom, which those are a part of.

Your dad has my sincerest gratitude.
He died in the name of this country so that we could express ourselves, even if you don't like it.
Go frick yourself if you can't get behind that.

So people who want to speak out on gun control need to leave the country?? I thought this was the land of the free and able to express yourself as long as it’s in a legal manner

For WW2 vets absolutely. Tragically all of the other wars we fought in since the same can’t be said. Afghanistan could be argued, but only initially. Our Freedom was never under attack in Korea, Vietnam or Iraq.

You can protest the Bill of Rights until you’re all cried out. Everybody else has the right to keep and bear arms and point at you and laugh.
