Looks like me and both brothers would have all been drafted in 1970
How would that work? My mother would have had all her kids shipped off to war?

I wonder if 152 survived or has his name on the memorial wall.
More than one person had any given number, the numbers only went from 1 to 366. So when a number was called, everyone assigned that number was drafted.

As the war went on, selective service requirements, deferments and exemptions changed in an effort to make the draft appear more fair. One of those changes was the institution of a draft lottery, which gave young men a random number between 1 and 366 corresponding to their birthdays. Lower numbers were called first.

My draft number was 2 and I was def called in.
What was your date of birth? I thought my brother's number was 2 or 5 but this thing shows it was 43. Anyway, he stayed in ROTC and went in as a 2nd Lt.

Talk about a bad Christmas. I put in December 25th just to see.
YOUR DRAFT NUMBER
84
WAS CALLED IN 1970.
If your birthday was just 6 days earlier, your draft number would not have been called.

I put in my fathers B-Day and he wouldn't have been called. Funny, he was enlisted and was in one of the first American Company's in Vietnam working as an advisor.
I would have been called by 1 day.

150 called in 1970. If one day earlier would not have been called.
However, I would have gone to a military academy regardless so I wouldn't have been subject to the draft.

The best day to have been born on, in this situation, would be February 29th. Lower odds of it ever getting picked.

Hell, I did that a decade ago.
