Am I doing this right?

Some of these cops seem to have attitude problems.

This is kind of hard to watch.

Coming from a conservative who backs the blue, I realize there are some bad apples out there and do want to fix the problem with cops being able to stretch their power. My buddy who is a cop is also tired of being labeled as shite because of the cops like the meathead in the video.

With that said, the body cam starts kind of late and I dont know what happened before it started for the cops to be coming in hot like they were, on a kid that wasnt moving with his hands away from his pockets. That kid didnt deserve that. Also, how do we know he was mentally ill? He seemed normal and just bewildered about what just happened.

Edit: At the end of the day, no one wants to see this shite. Lets get better training, reform how shitty police get away with small dick behavior, and move on as a country.

I was actually wondering that as well.

I do think he is somewhat slow, but that's based off a very short clip. I don't say that in a mean way.

It seemed like whatever happened prior was about him not responding to them in some sort of questioning or approach.

I was trying to find the right word to describe this kind of cop/person. This is perfect, so thank you. These are the kind of cops I don't care for. There seems to be fewer of these today, but IDK. I support cops, but I'm not a fan of this style.

I use to think that it took a certain personality to be a cop.. I use to think they needed a little a-hole in them to deal with some of the shite they deal with. However, he really didn't need to take so much offense here and be such a dick afterwards.

As a fully aware person it seems ideal to just lay down without any movement or resistance. However, I wonder if you get jumped pretty quickly by 3-4 cops all at once if it's naturally to flinch and move and have a little resistance.. especially with all the blows coming from different angles at once. I realize the best thing to do is to just give them your hands behind your back. This guy seemed to have a bit of a delay, but his resistance didn't seem all that alarming or anything.

I hope he's okay. I feel really bad for him.

We have a mentally ill black man around where I live and people on Nextdoor were originally alarmed by him wandering through their porches at night. Thankfully someone recognized him and explained he was no threat at all and that the police were well aware of him. I say thankfully because one person said if he came on their property they would shoot him. Then everybody said you can't just shoot people for being on your property.

It can be sad. I don't think mentally ill people should be wandering the streets alone at night, but some are homeless or without family. I just don't know, but it definitely makes me sad to see this type of encounter. This is why I am not fully comply or die type of mentality. I definitely think any sane person should always just comply if they have no other mental issues going on. Just comply and gets things over with as smoothly as possible, if you are capable.

I don’t understand why you see cops shouting orders (like relax or roll over) to someone WHILE they are tazing them.

How can I obey your requests while you are shooting electricity through my body?

Just from a purely observational standpoint, I find it most interesting that topics like this that are clearly meant to troll a right-leaning audience are met with mostly valid and well thought-out points. A spade, so it seems, can really be called a spade. I don't largely find that to be the case with liberals where objectivism seems to be overwhelmed by emotion and viscerally immediate reaction based on mostly societal conditioning. Just an observation.

Amen. And Id like to keep it that way. (Regarding the right). Just like in the video of that liberal dude getting punched in the back of the head by a right wing guy and the policeman just kind of being like, “welp, you did this to yourself.” Like I even kind of giggled, but at the end of the day, I refuse to submit to that kind of petty behavior.

I will always take each incident as a separate entity and base my judgement on right and wrong. Ill call out a stupid conservative too. I wish more liberals would call out each other. You see how that works? It goes both ways.

This is what most sane people who have an issue with police want. Most don't want to completely abolish the police force, just some change and reform.

Absolutely. It’s funny cause id say pretty much everyone who saw that video was disturbed by it and wants that police officer in jail. The left and right were united by what they saw and would like to see that guy prosecuted. And then certain left sided people took shite wayyyyy too fricking far and the right is even more disgusted by the left and here we are now. As divided as can be...

Those cops in that video are a band of street thugs. That guy wasn’t being violent and aggressive Or running—They straight up hit him with force from the drop, pushed him up against the cruiser and told him to spread for their search with no discussion or establishment of probable cause. Ridiculous they first asked his name after they beat his arse and tased him and had him in cuffs.

People wonder why shite is so charged. These kinds of interactions are not rare.
