If you go to the local Facebook pages in Jackson that have the video, the breakdown by race is startling. The whites are all sorry as she was clearly disturbed but support the cops. Most, not all, but most of the blacks are raising hell, asking why they couldn't de-escalate.

Ah yes the ole “de-escalate ” response. How bout put the gun down and de-escalate the situation yourself? And if you’re so mentally fricked up that you can’t comprehend this, then you deserve to get shot. How’s that for taking mental illness seriously? She’s not even from the area, apparently from West Helena, Arkansas.
Word from folks in the area (we just moved from there in June) is that she was trying to return a broken tv with no box or receipt and the store wouldn’t take it. Not sure how true that is though. Curious why she wanted a news anchor. Everything was trending fine until she pointed the gun at the cops then the hostage’s head, that’s when they took her out.

I really hate to lay the blame elsewhere, but white people particularly in the media and government have reallyyyy gone out of their way to help build and foster this perpetual victim mentality.
