that was an elevated position only 150 yds away, there should have been an LEO stationed there from the start

So you're saying they can execute any person at any time for any reason? If they see a kid climbing on a roof to watch a speech they just blow his brains out no questions asked?
I worry about some of y'all...
No, that's not what he's saying.
What he's saying, is that if there is a clear, credible threat...then the snipers have the green light to take the shot.
If they ask for other eyes on the target to see if what they see is truly a threat, then I assume that would happen, and then make the determination.
But, no...they're not shooting a child in the head simply because he's climbing a tree at a rally.
Jesus.

At least 2.
And, again, considering a crowd of onlookers was watching this guy walk up to the building with a rifle, climb up, then shimmy forward for 4 minutes while waiving down law enforcement the entire time…only to be ignored to the point they are pulling out their cell phones to record him…I’d venture to say they can't really be “explained away”

Could he have been waiting for clearance to engage?
A MF’r belly crawling on a roof with a rifle shouldn’t need clearance.

What’s frustrating is the videos that are coming out of the people who were standing next to the building about 50 yards away, who saw the man clearly with the gun-waving the police down, and the police weren’t even doing anything. Dozens of people knew he was a credible threat for at least three-four minutes and nothing was done. That, to me, is heinous.

100% agree.

Hard to believe in a conspiracy, but there’s no way if you’re on Trump’s security detail you don’t get out of your vehicle and don’t immediately say, get me some bodies on that roof.
Why is that?
Who do you believe killed JFK? And why?

i'm using hyperbole to make a point. The point is they can't just shoot anyone will and need at least a few seconds for a sanity check. The video looks like he only saw the shooter for a matter of seconds. It's understandable that the sniper wouldn't just fire as soon as he saw the guy because there are a lot of things it could have been (for example, a kid climbing on a roof).

With it only being 150 yards away, you gotta assume there was supposed to be security posted on the building and they weren’t there for some inadequate reason. There’s just not much there, and if anything that’s a natural vantage point from that direction for the police to use themselves. I’d assume as often as possible you would have a sniper team and look outs posted in all 4 directions and this would be the natural position in that direction.

nope, they have a green light to engage on their own

There’s gotta be some serious shake ups in the leadership of SS here. Assuming the boots on the ground are generally doing their job. Those guys are usually not political and work over multiple presidents and changes in parties.
This bullet was millimeters away from being one of the worst security breakdowns in the past 50-100 years.

Trump is a threat to the Deep State. They can’t control him
Pelosi, chuck, etc and all the big dems kept their positions and everything else just fine

We literally had a Trump presidency. The deep state and swamp rats did just fine

The roof in question has no parapets and a very slight pitch. Here is a google street view....The building is on the right with the SS Sniper perch in the distance to the left....

Question for anyone who can answer this. Do SS snipers get to practice often? It seems like a job you would need a lot of reps to do. If he misses his first shot Trump or other people could have been killed. There is no room for mistakes. They are bad arse.
What kind of fing question is this. Do people employed as snipers who are employed to shoot people in situations like this practice for situations like this?

No, he just had better experience or reflexes. His position in relation to Trump doesn’t work for him to be the victim.

Interestingly enough there’s a water tower right there, seems like another good spot for a police spotter at least, and overlooks this building directly

The Swamp is deep and wide.

Conspiracy theorists will presume something sinister was going on, but the most likely situation here is that there was miscommunication between SS and local law enforcement about reports of someone being on the opposite roof. I.E. bystanders were pointing it out to police. Police were confused and/or unsure about it possibly being SS. SS were confused and/or unsure about it possibly being law enforcement.
So reports of a guy on a roof with a gun weren’t enough to immediately get Trump offstage? I don’t understand this.
