I don't like getting tickets either, but getting an attitude only makes matters worse. I talk shite and act like a bad arse when I drive off.

Moral of this story is take your lick and keep your mouth shut.

That does not always hold true. Sometimes you get shot when you do what a cop says. See the young man shot in the leg when he went for his license right after the cop told him to. He was very polite

He was being a little jerky. She was stupidly trying to challenge his authority and when he called her on it, she escalated when she should have de-escalated. She then surpassed his jerkyness with complete bitchiness, including resisting.

The blurry gray lines might have been crossed earlier by both, but at that point, she crossed the big fat black line and the arrest was inevitable.

None of that - None - had much to do with why she chose to kill herself.

BTW, has it been explained why she was still in jail 3 days after the arrest?

Are you saying that what the cop did was protecting and serving?

She moved over because he made an illegal u turn in the middle of an intersection and raced up the street behind her car.

I would be pissed too.

I have always been compliant with cops because I was taught to respect authority, to an almost detrimental point. I also avoid them because they scare the frick out of me. A person who has that much power, to ignore a question and say "I am giving a lawful order" then arrest you for resisting arrest, when no initial arrest was made, is completely frightening to me. I am very much for de-escalating this kind of situation, but it is within your right to make inquiries regarding your situation. And just because some ego-driven bully doesn't like your questions, he can have you tossed in to jail? Yeah, I am not ok with his ego superseding the law, sorry.

No I didn't watch the video. I'm saying it's a traffic stop where I assume a cop acted like a douchebag. Take your ticket, bitch on Facebook, get it removed. I'm wondering why the cop's dick like nature is a relevant part to a story that's clearly about a suicide.

If they think she was killed, is the cop that pulled her over a suspect?

Are you serious? He made the u turn to pull over someone who had done something illegal in a marked police car. Not like someone just turned around and tailgated her.

That's what they make courts for, if it was an unlawful stop it can be thrown out. When a cop tells you you're under arrest that's not the time to start questioning his authority.

No he didn't. He pulled her over for her changing lanes when he came up behind her. You can't be that stupid.

I like cops for the most part, but this guy sucks.

Cops are supposed to de-escalate situations. He did the opposite because she wouldn't put her cigarette out.

Respect my authority!

Any day now we will hear how the "pounding" of the head to the ground caused a delayed brain hemorrhage resulting in delayed death. Book it.

What can you charge the arresting officer for? Assisted suicide? I don't see a crime here unless someone actually killed her in jail.

I don't think anyone think she was killed. IMO, they are appeasing the family.
No one here is blaming the cop for the suicide. EDT: (Oops, maybe one who said the events forced her to take her own life)
