That's exactly what it is. It doesn't sound the way it does in movies and on video games, not to mention it would take an older person a second or two longer to actually register what is happening.

I haven't been paying attention, but its odd to me he only took 13 shots? What happened did he only have one clip (meant for the guys that hate that term) and run out of ammo? I agree when I first read the story it sounded like some kind of assassination on a victim that was made out to look like terrorism but who knows.

I'm not sure what anyone expected, pretty much how they all look. There's no way those old folks didn't know what was going on, they were looking right at the guy. Its just how people react with little or no experience or training in high stress situations though.

It amazes me that people STILL immediately hit the floor and lie on the ground in active shooter situations. RUN AWAY. You are just a sitting duck if you lie on the ground.
