This doesn't surprise me a bit. I've been to a lot of ND games over the years, and the roughest ND fans are always, always in major cities far from campus.
South Bend is like a country club. Whenever we play in Boston, NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Miami, LA, etc., ND fans can be a pretty rough crowd.
There are some videos out there of some ND baws taking names when we played at the Meadowlands a few years ago. That stuff happens a lot, especially when we play on the East Coast.
