At the start of the video the guy in black is leaning against the car with his hands behind his head. It appears the guy that got punched was talking to another officer who was maybe giving him commands to put his hands up? Maybe the guy was being defiant and the cops weren’t sure if he had a gun.

Again not a sucker punch. Did the guy spit in the other officers face? Don’t know. Did the guy threaten the cop verbally by saying something like I’ll shoot your arse? Don’t know. You think the cop just decided he wanted to hit a guy just because he is black? Nah I don’t think so. There is a reason...maybe not one justifiable, maybe it is. We don’t know why now do we. But to rush judgement that he should be fired is absolutely stupid.

Was the cop in the wrong? Maybe, but no one really knows without full context.
