Pretty much any city in the US is better than Baton Rouge.

The fact that you are getting so many downvotes for this is absolutely shameful, and speaks both to the immaturity, and the abysmal surroundings of these Baton Rougians that are mistreating you so.

Vidalia is a great place to live and raise a family, Beau Pre CC is a great golf course and Fat Mama's, Roux 61, Pearl St Pasta, Andrew's, the Castle at Dunleith, Bowie's, just to name a few are great places.

So Vidalia is a great place to live, but every place you named is in Natchez? Sounds like Natchez is the better place to live of the two.

They are pretty much one big town instead of two different places.

Plus cheaper to live in Vidalia, better public schools, until JBE invades.

Don't forget the Lake St John 4th of July Flotilla!

If BR had a drive thru liquor joint like Ferriday..it would be even worse than Freddy's Frozen Custard's parking lot the last few weeks.

I grew up in Vidalia. It's ok but anyone saying it's great is full of shite.
There is next to nothing to do if yo have kids. It's a quiet country place. If that's what you like then it's great. It's just not my jam anymore.

I stop in Vidalia pretty often on my routes up 61 and 425. The Butt Hut is pretty magical - their salads on the sides of the meat is pretty tasty.
