Came across this video about LuLaRoe and why it is basically a giant scam. Talks about a few women that got scammed by the company.
LINK
Video is long(almost 30 minutes)...but an interesting watch.
Especially if you hate MLMs and their obvious pyramid structures.
Can't wait for the posters who still have wives that sell this crap to come in defending the scam

What would you do with an extra $1500 per month?

Have an in-law whose live-in girlfriend fleeced him to quit her job and "start her business" (LuLaRoe). She took him to the cleaners before he wisened up and got rid of her.

Is this like Amway or Herbalife?

“Hey girlie.. I love your social media presence and I think you’d be a great fit for our team .”

One of the women got so many people below her that she was getting huge monthly bonus checks. She said at one point she was getting 50k a month in bonus checks.
But she had to spend a lot to buy more inventory. And was encouraged by the company to spend a lot of money on luxurious stuff and post about it on social media to entice other women to join. It was all about how many more people could be recruited to sell. Her bonuses were a percentage of inventory purchased by sellers(consultants) and not necessarily what was actually sold to the public.
The owner of LuLaRoe became on a first name basis with this woman. The woman said that soon the owner was trying to strongly encourage her to go to Tijuana for gastric sleeve surgery. Apparently many of the consultants were doing it. There was a video of the owner saying she had already referred like 18 women to this clinic in Tijuana.
Don't know if many are aware of the troubles with having surgery in Mexico. There have been numerous stories of these people developing really bad surgical site infections from bad surgical practices at many of these clinics that Americans are going to. It's gotten so bad that I've received alerts from our local public health department to be on the look out for any patients that report they had surgery in Tijuana.
ETA: Back to the woman....end of the video she basically is having to sell her home now cause she is broke and has a pending lawsuit against LuLaRoe.

The woman didn't have the surgery. She decided to have the balloon instead here in the states.
Her body rejected the balloon and she got very ill and they had to immediately take the balloon out.
She said the owner of LuLaRoe was still trying to pressure her to be part of the next group going to Tijuana. She nearly died from an optional procedure...yet was being pushed to go to Mexico for another??

Is LuLuRoe basically Rodan and fields?
Posted on 5/26/19 at 9:26 pm to Swagga
They both are pyramid scam MLMs
LuLaRoe is ugly leggings
Rodan and Fields is overpriced skin care and the stuff that makes you have tarantula lashes.

Also many in the video mentioned they were getting shipments of clothing that were either torn, soaking wet, or were moldy.
And while they were supposed to be promised refunds by the company for defective items...many of them went in circles and never got refunds.
To get started with LuLaRoe...most women spend at least 5k in inventory that they have to then sell (usually online).

There’s a pretty good podcast called “Sounds like MLM but OK”.
Yeah I've listened to a couple of episodes. Very interesting.
They have a fb group as well. Lots of women posting posts they see from their friends that were suckered into selling MLM products.

I just looked to see if there was a book about this and I found one called 'How To Get Out Of The LuLaRoe Business Without Losing You arse'
It's on Amazon.
There is also a book on how to make "insane amounts of money" selling LulaRoe.
Now I am curious as to where the clothes come from, that they are selling,

Just added this on Spotify.... Will start listening ASAP.
I love reading/listening about companies that fail or that have scammed people.

A real money managing genius right there.

the Ex’s cousin and her husband went the advocare route and literally quit their jobs and that’s all they do.
Now, advocare is going retail so I’m really curious how that’s supposed to work. I have a wild feeling, they are about to get screwed

She was like the prime type of woman they were targeting.
Yeah she wasn't financially smart at all. Still felt bad for her.

The podcast “The Dream” goes into MLMs and why people join them. It’s very well done.
