because of the way the Obama administration and Biden dealt with or didn't deal with Iran. forced something,, but halfway measures never work esp when dealing with absolutists like the ayatollahs
The universal support of other ME Islamic nations speaks to the truth that there was/is something that had the region rattled
Combined with the attacks on Israel, the intelligence forced the US to act
The problem was that Trump pulled his dick out halfway.

I know I earn the “driveby shitposter” stigma. I get that. But with work, 2 young kiddos, and the rest of life’s responsibilities…it’s only this time of night a couple times a week, I can really engage and explain my actual opinion or stance.

Exactly. It's pretty much 0 or 100 with Iran in terms of direct conflict. Everyone knows they aren't going to surrender and turn over their government. You have to make them. If you aren't willing to see it all the way through, there's very little to gain in doing anything less.
Got a few of our boys killed, a lot of wealth was transferred amongst various parties. 99.999% chance the status quo will be reinstated within the next couple years.
They'll lie and steal as usual and use every penny they get to rearm and reaffirm their domestic and regional power. As other's have mentioned, this cost us strategically, as we displayed at least some level of our doctrine/strike package for our real adversaries. China knows more about our military capability today than they did 6 months ago. In some instances, the juice is worth that squeeze. There's no indication that this was one of those instances.

Welp, so much for that ceasefire...
