Love when ppl who never served talk about things they don’t know. Also there was a post that explained that not everyone lost a limb, fwiw a loss of limb is only 30% rating, trust me it’s one of my lowest ratings.
Also for the poster who mentioned losing 100% it is because the member wasn’t P&T, got better or filed for additional claims and it got adjusted/audited. They don’t just take away disability for no reason.

He was a supply officer for Navy, his job was to make sure ship had ice cream and TP I think. Never sniffed combat or anything dangerous. He apparently hurt his shoulder sleeping on the hard navy beds.
He is a great guy but the shite he has gotten free really pisses me off. He was way way over compensated

My son could be rated at about 40% right now, he’s active duty. By the time the system gets through with him he will likely rate at 100%.
Holy shite...his first two enlistments must have been grueling? How can he possibly endure being exposed to all of those carcinogens?
How long have you been a doctor?
How long have you worked for the VA?
I'm sure you're a fine example.
I could name a few things you can do!

why do people get these tags?
Simple. My past 3 cars got dings all over them from inconsiderate cunts who suck at parking.
0 dings over 3 yeara in my new one since i started parking handicapped spots.
You also have to go to the same place to get your DMV form as you do to submit for your property tax reduction, so why not get everything you rate?
You holier than thou morally superior fricks are funny.
You sound like this.
" i dont use my dominos reward points because i dont need no handouts! I pay my own way!"

What year was he wounded? if it was early on 03, 04, 05 he can fix that and get a CT scan of his brain yearly. After 2007 or 08 you were automatically enrolled in the registry if you got blown up.
Tell me more, I was hit with an IED in late 2003, fractured Jaw, fractured orbital socket which caused muscle damage and vision problems. I now have an eye that wonders and horrible vision in my left eye that gets worse every day. Received a purple heart but my claim for TBI was given a 0%.
Oh and over the past few years my memory has gone to shite also. I forget so much crap nowadays

For the first 5 years after AIT he averaged over 200 days a year deployed. Their pace of operations have thankfully (from my perspective) slowed.
His has been in 3 helicopter crashes and been blown up once, not to mention some of the other shite he’s seen and been through. So yeah, grueling could be a word used. Such is the life of a soldier under SOCOM who is part of the most elite company of army aviators in the world.
There is a lot of pride about it and he chose the life, but to have some fat arse like you bitch about vets who claim their VA benefits is bullshite.

I don’t have to be a doctor or work for the VA to understand what his flight surgeon has said.

It took my dad a long time to get on. He was infantry in ‘69. They sent him to the VA and they all would say the same thing: it’s Agent Orange. Then they would refuse him and send him to the next VA and get same answers. Went to like 5 different VA hospitals. Funny part is he was forced to retire from the VA (boiler and chiller mechanic) because they said he was disabled.

So you readily ADMIT that these diabetic fatsos DO INDEED have a disability???
Considering you can really eat your way out of type 2 diabetes, it is not a disability. But the government doesn’t recognize these measures as a way to “treat” or “cure” type ii diabetes.
Type II diabetes isn’t a disease, it is the body’s response to too many carbohydrates being consumed. You absolutely can only eat meat and vegetables and your body will naturally “cure” itself.
Yet you get a government check because of idiotic government-backed “research”.

The VA disability rating refers to how much of your daily life is impacted by your disability. As well, there are 2 100% disability ratings. 100% disabled/hirable, and 100% disabled/non-hirable.

Ironic example considering that the only people that eat dominos have free government healthcare

I love threads where " unless you experienced it first hand, your comment is worthless ".

That’s what it’s supposed to do, but that is not at all how things actually work.
There are private firms out there that coach veterans how to increase their disability rating.

You still have to prove that by documents and an exam

A very good friend of mine has been cryptically talking about coming into money and I’m almost 100% certain he has just qualified for disability. Has even mentioned $4200/month recently.
He did two tours. 34 years old. Physically he’s about as elite as it gets and fully healthy.

Unfortunately there are a ton of vets who simply game the system. During the OIF years when we were deployed non-stop and they couldn't make retention numbers it got easier to get VA disability and now all sorts of pieces of shite abuse it.
The sad part is there are a lot of people who deserve it who don't take it because they don't want to be lumped in with the 20 something POG with a "deployment" to Kuwait who got 100% for claiming anxiety and a bunch of unprovable shite.
