I have the designation on my Driver's License. Not going to use it though. I've got other things happening.

Last year Benny's in Baton Rouge offered free car wash. I'll do that if they still offer it.

It took a few years for the industry to curb the free for all. When everyone started the eat free thing you got the scum of the earth. So much stolen valor going on it wa sad

I never really did anything other than maybe a free slurpee or something but a few years ago , I took a day off work and ran the gamut all at different locations - Doughnut , soft drink, oil change (that was nice ), Applebees, hair cut , car wash, and maybe 1-2 others . I made sure to thank them via a great on line review . Probably would have made for a cool YouTube video .

Retired Army, I don’t do any of that shite.
I didn’t do it for any of you cowardly pieces of shite.
But, can’t wait for the civil war to start, definitely going to kick in some of your doors.

The don't a cheap arse, whiny veteran asking for and expecting discounts. You are getting 100% VA disability for hurting your knee playing pickup basketball at the barracks.

Don't have a serviced related disability and didn't do as much as as the brave Marines and Soldiers did, but one thing we all did was server our country when needed. A free meal once a year isn't really much, and certainly not enough for you to make fun.

No, been in over 27 years and have almost never rushed out to some dump to claim free food. I got a free coffee from WaWa once, not even on Veteran's Day either, just stopped in while in uniform and the cashier just said no charge when I got to the register with it. I know some will plan out breakfast, lunch, and dinner though. The worst are the retirees wearing their old dress uniforms with two GO's worth of ribbons.

If anyone doubts you, just discuss your disability rating?

Half the conversations I hear at local gun range are guys telling each other how to increase their disability rating.

Always seems to be the first question when they hear someone is a vet…..what’s your disability rate, and then a long conversation on how to increase it.

So, I think that is the cheat code for stolen valor.
