Have been informed I have colon cancer and must begin treatment immediately including surgery.

I am pretty numb and, well, scared. Has anyone else been through this and maybe offer advice? Thanks - amitch

Sounds like they caught it early unless not?

Anyway, good luck to you.

And go beat the shite out of that cancer.

Prayers sent. Surgery indicates you have a very good chance of being ok.

Stay positive and resilient. Only example of someone with the same immediately started therapy - and got rid of it.

Pour yourself a drink. Enjoy it. Give yourself the night to think, to fear and wonder.

Then, when you wake up tomorrow, resolve that you will fight like a motherfricker. If nothing else, make that fight SIGNIFY you, Bro.

I'm pulling for you. Matter of fact, I just sent a prayer up for you.

Get after it tomorrow man. Start early.

It is in the early stages and I sort of zoned out after hearing the diagnosis. Thank God my wife seas there - she has been researching and on the phone all day getting things set up.

Thanks for the positive thoughts

Prayers sent.

The only advice I have is fight as hard as you can and don't give up. I know that seems like common sense, but don't lose hope.

Prayers sent man. I can't image getting that news. I doubt I'd have the will power to put to type a post on here if I'd just received that news. Best of luck and God bless.

Go to the best and most experienced cancer center in your area (around here, NW La., M.D. Anderson in Houston).

Will keep you in prayers.

I strongly second this. One of the best responses I've ever read on this board.
Get your head right. Then get your body right to make this fight!!!

You can do it, brother!!!
