I don't underztand anyone who buys a truck or suv and it isn't a 4wd.

I have a dually that is not 4WD I have never gotten stuck. Then again, I'm not so stupid as to drive off into a wet, muddy cane field or anywhere else that I'd be prone to get stuck.
My wife drives a Suburban. She is "off road" on a regular basis. Again, no problems without 4WD.

That said, my next truck will have 4WD. Just in case i need it.

Giant hunting vehicle trucks with huge tires and cattle guard.......

I understand the hunting uses, just not the everyday use. No way you can't afford another vehicle for all the driving some people do in those things.

Also those stupid fricking rice burner vehicles. Why do you need all that bullshite and all the noise to drive through a completely suburban Area adjacent to an urban area. You're essentially getting everyone to give you a mean stare averaging 25 mph.yeah cool peel out from the McDonald's parking lot, bro.

The frick are you talking about? It's a Ford GT, arguably the best car Ford has ever built.

To be honest, there aren't that many benefits to the jacked up trucks for hunting. Very few people take those vehicles where you would need that kind of clearance. It's all for looks. When I did take my truck down trails often, I had a set of 33" mud tires and that was it. Fit on the truck stock with no need for lift kits to get the tire clearance. I never once got stuck and went through some pretty decent little mud holes. If your roads are bad enough to need all that crap, you could probably spend that extra money talking care of the roads.

Now mud riding is different because people intentionally want to get stuck. But I never really understood that. Never found it all that entertaining.

The O.P. is spot on about how asinine those luxury R.V.'s are, unless that is the only "home" someone owns and they travel constantly, it's a 100k+ waste of money sitting there and maybe moves 2-3 wks a year. Your argument is completely irrelevant.

You're out of you're damned mind... and/or poor.

Agreed. All my friends with lifted trucks take their UTV or jacked up 87' Toyota "camp truck" trail riding 99% of the time.

My daily is a 4x4 suv on 32s. Pretty good offroad honestly. Was riding through west kisatchie over the weekend and spotted a trailhead marked with a letter three numbers and a letter. Little known fact, if they are so marked you can drive your vehicle on them as they are effectively a public roadway. Had some really off camber stuff, hills, and a few mud spots bad enough to engage 4hi so I wouldn't tear the road up.

As we were leaving out (it was a dead end), a pt cruiser full of guys was looking at the trail head. When we got an opening in traffic to hit the hughway, they were already out of sight on the trail.

Went ahead and called the ranger station for em. They weren't gonna make it back up the first pine needle covered hill, much less in the mud.

I think this

is much worse and dumber than this

Both are just stupid and an enormous waste of money.
At least you can go over a speed bump in the jacked up truck.

I'm pretty cool with letting people spend their money how they want.

I find it more humorous when people of lesser means can't imagine spending money on a certain item or service.

The RV shouldn't be on that list, although I agree with your other choices.

The RV, will it has limited use, is perfect for LSU tailgates and as a emergency office during evacuations.

You're a biker?

I would have never guessed or known that had you not mentioned it. It's not like you ever talk about it.

I love going four wheeling, but I'll never understand how someone can go buy one of these brand new.

$20K for that is just stupid. And I'm hesitant to buy anything like it or a regular quad used. There's no telling how many times a used one has been floated or sunk.

IDK, that looks kinda cool.

Add a bitchin' stereo and a few light bars and you've got something.

It does look cool. But that $20K+ price tag has me not understanding how someone would go out and buy one. Especially since they probably only use it 5-6 times a year.

The first time you'd go over s speed bump in that white truck, you'd taco the rims. Low profile tires on a truck like that look like shite and defeat the purpose of the suspension upgrades.
