Why does vaccination status matter if you could just test on arrival and departure for travelers for long trips?

These mandates are so absurd.
The only thing it helps is you and reduces your chances for catching it and reduces symptoms.
You can still catch it, you can still pass it to others.
The only thing I can possibly think of is the liabilities.for example “I caught COVID on your airlines flight so I’m suing for $1million”

This would have been a valid point before government had the ability to lean on businesses and force them to do what they wish.
If you believe that private businesses (especially large ones) aren’t being coerced by politicians who routinely bail them out, you’re naive.
It’s a nasty, incestuous relationship that exists now and no one will ever truly know if any big decisions like this are made without political interference.
