I’ll never understand going through the procedure of a vasectomy and then not following up to make sure it worked.

I'm a candidate for this procedure but never could bring myself to do it. Reading stuff like this thread reassures me that I have made the right choice.

Obviously anecdotal, but everyone I've seen in my office for possible spontaneous recanalization after vasectomy ended up being due to a cheating wife.

I didn’t go back and get mine tested after my vasectomy. Then came my daughter :) What a surprise that was! My wife was sooo happy (sarcasm).

Yeah, the math an mathin on that comment. The physical connection(vas deferens) is severed during the procedure. When I had mine done he placed the piece of the tube he cut out on my chest so that I could see with my own eyes that it was done.
Unless they didn't actually complete the task this seems improbably at best. 2 Year? I'd be asking for another procedure on the house after the first couple of samples.
