Some do, unfortunately. Our pastors have been talking about this a lot lately, how you have to discern if it's text meant for instruction in general, or this is just something meant for these particular people in that particular time. Because you can speak and do some horrible crap based on passages that weren't meant for that.

I'm in Barcelona. We had not heard one siren in 30 hours here, then today, nonstop. We had just finished a long lunch and were just walking along. We were around the cathedral area and saw people running but we still didn't know exactly what was going on. We stopped in a bar for coffee and I checked my phone for news because I knew something had happened. Just as I read it, the workers in the bar found out. Everything was so quiet then. We did see a guy in our hotel in the El Born area that was injured but he was ok.

We've heard helicopters but the sirens seem to have finally stopped.

I wasn't saying it didn't say that, but that that isn't instruction meant for you, just the Jews after the Exodus. Culture and customs of the time play a big part in a lot of that.
