Clinicians and researchers would never quit looking for it. It isn't something you have to dig really deep to see, it presents as a significant tend that would be noticed by clinicians pretty quickly, hell we could likely catch the trend with vax vs no vax admission and death numbers.

Again it is VERY rare and has never presented itself for the first time this far into a vaccine rollout. There is a lot more to learn about why it is unlikely and if there was an issue it would not be a Dengue-like mechanism but an RSV-type mechanism.

One of the shames is a big percentage of the doctors are fricking tired of talking about it, especially when people want to argue with everything they say (see the beginning of this thread with Cosmo). Hell my wife will usually talk as long as I ask questions about medicine but half the time now when I ask a COVID question I get the "I can't do that today". It has a lot today with the fact everyone she knows asks tons of COVID questions but they are actually doing the equivalent of venue shopping in the legal world, they are looking for a Dr to support an opinion they already have.

If someone is not going to ensure they have the basics of biology and vaccines down before going all autodidactic on COVID it is best to direct your questions to your most trusted physician and accept what they say. If you don't trust their opinions on COVID you should have been looking for another doc before COVID.

I agree anti-vaxxer is an intentionally pejorative jab when it is not accurate for most posters but a preponderance of those they are lofted at do the same thing at the drop of a hat OP is a classic example. I TRY to avoid it but occasionally I go ham on someone that keeps drilling down on a 1+1=3 situation. I am not used to using any level of ad hominem attacks but TD has desensitized me to my detriment in that area.

I try to treat everyone with a level of dignity most of the time, you and I have had several civil discussions even if we disagree.

I get the whole idea that everyone left of the center is trying to turn vaccine-hesitant people into second-class citizens. I personally am not for most mandates but especially when talking about the legal side I may sound like I am. When I am in lawyer mode I generally don't give a frick about right and wrong I only care what the court will decide. So when I say the court will probably be 9-0 or 7-2 when reviewing various mandates it is because that is the way I read the court. I don't know if or how closely you followed my rebuttals to Wednesday on the election board but she was just dead wrong at every turn and I told her she would be. It isn't because I am a better lawyer (I have no idea) but it was because I was drawing on over 25 years of appellate practice to read the court and not arguing from passion.


My day would have been so much more productive if I wasn't watching the 24 hours of Le Man while sitting on TD. The fact I have been sitting in front of the TV for 6.5 hours with 17.5 to go has caused me to type way too damn many words. I probably should have gone the pithy Cosmo route. But a hearty double fist to chest bump to anyone that has suffered through my verbal diarrhea today.
