From 0.08

Scheduled to go into effect in December 2018

I am no expert on alcoholic impacts on the body, but how much does cognitive function improve with this legislation?

I think this has more to do with money and less to do with biochemistry

Not really surprised, especially for Utah.

IMO the difference between 0.05 and 0.08 is extremely minute, and this has everything to do with politics and money and nothing to do with physical impairment.

Utah doesn't seem like a fun place to live.

the .05 law would essentially be 0 for me. I assume that's the intended effect (apart from the money grab part...).

At 165lbs, I wouldn't drink a pint of high-ish gravity beer and feel safe.

hell, i'd almost be afraid to be in ketosis with those limits (modern breathalyzers are supposed to be smarter than that but who knows)

Its always a sight to behold when a legislature decides to create new criminals out of once law abiding citizens.

Their DWI numbers must have dropped, so in response to a loss of market supply, they upped demand. This is just a market correction, folks. Nothing to see here.

That's what every state is heading for. It will happen eventually.

Nothing to do with this. Drinking and driving is severely frowned upon in Colorado and Utah. Probably other western states as well. It's simply not tolerated like it is in the south.

Driving in the mountains during winter conditions is dangerous enough. Doing it while drinking is begging for trouble. Even during summer it's dangerous going through the canyons.

seriously, what is the BAC for a 120 lb. woman after one frozen daiquiri?
I am all for drunk driving limits, but the problem is the inconsistent enforcement.
