USW probably isn't self insured, nor do they pull in the profits of a company such as shell, nor the amount of employees as shell.

So employees of USW deserve less because they work for a smaller company, I get it

USW believes in a form of profit sharing. So yeah, less profits would relate to less compensation.

Yeah there were confirmed reports by USW officials about people in Deer Park crossing.

I think that will make it last longer though honestly.

I have heard at least 50 people. I think it will only go up as people get tired of sitting outside making sacrifices, watching others pulling in so much ot

I agree with you but I know first hand that XOM BR 's contract isn't up until April or May. That's why they aren't striking yet. I'm going to the hall today. I have a couple questions that need to be answered.

June.

And close too 100 people crossed at Deerpark, which is main reason they called strike for convent and Norco. The unions are losing leverage quick.

Yeah I heard that staff that are locked in at Norco are making $900/day + salary. Not sure if true or not. While the picketers make $0.

They lost power from Entergy. (How convenient)

It was. Leak in SF6 gas in the one of two Entergy breakers feeding a main distribution substation. The leaking breaker tripped and the other couldn't handle the entire load and tripped also.

Several site substations lost power for approximately 30 mins.

I heard $900 from someone who is out there. Thought that number was pretty absurd but IDK.

Q: are all the strikers work for contractors like turner, Jacobs, etc etc?

I never understood how Union job placement worked

I'm not picketing and have canceled my gym membership. Also looking at cutting in other areas but pretty much anything not essential, I'm not buying. And before you say its good for me, union bla bla, I'm not a paying member, and only went to shell bc I didn't think they would strike before I could move up and out.

Cancelled your gym membership? How long do you think this is going to last? What did that save you? $30/mo.?

No the strikers are Motiva or Shell employees. Regular contractors are probably kept out to reduce any repercussions when the union workers return.
