man the Fed Gov really fricked the Post Office over. took it from clearing millions of dollars in profit yearly, to losing double digit millions yearly.
the law they passed was stupid and really fricked the PO up.

Maybe .22 in 1985-87?
sounds about right..... remember a teacher in 6th grade asking anyone if they had a stamp...she was giving a quarter and you could have made 3 cents.....
was in 1985.....

Then purely adjusted for inflation and not taking into consideration any other increased costs, a $0.22 stamp in 1985 would be worth $0.64 today.
frick the Fed

Jesus
.18 cent increase since Biden. I still have about 300 customers that like mailed invoices. 60 additional dollars a month in costs.
Yes. It is peanuts but that’s a good many peanuts

Wait til we start getting charged for sending emails.
Should've been this way from the start. You'd have far less spam, nonsense newsletters, etc.
Make the sender pay.

So what if is a dollar.
For a dollar… one stinking dollar… someone is going to carry your letter all the way across the country to a specific address and to a specific person.
I wouldn’t take your letter to the corner mailbox for a dollar. Some things are still a deal

Mail delivery should be like twice a week - it’s such a waste - and just have a truck carrying packages most days
Posted on 7/12/24 at 8:27 pm to boudinman
I hope they go up to 5 dollars each

It should be as cost prohibitive as possible for businesses to send unsolicited mail to a residence
