This is a great story but because you mentioned God, people who think they aren't sociopaths will suddenly ignore they joy of a child surviving despite all odds to post shitty responses only meant to demean others' beliefs.

No,the headline states very clearly that this girl was saved by god in the same sentence where they talk about all of the treatment she received.

You are giving us a common atheist statement... "There is no God, and I hate Him!"
If you think more blood has been spilled in His name, than anything else than you didn't pay much attention to recent history with WWI (40 million deaths), WWII (70 million deaths), Mao's Revolution (50 million deaths) and the Bolshevik Revolution (20 million). All either driven by territorial concerns or humanist philosophies.
What are your totals for number of deaths due to religion?

So with the average age expectancy continuing to climb is it because god elects to heal more people these days or advancements in technology, science, and medicine?
Also are people expected to live longer in more developed parts of the world because they believe harder?
Seems ridiculous IMO.

I don't have any issues with god because it doesn't exist. Just like I don't have any issues with santa clause, the easter bunny or the tooth fairy. It just blows my mind that so many people fall in line with a belief system started in a part of the world that has barely progressed over the last 2000 years. The world is much, much older than that but you choose to believe it all started with some dude in the sky making a man out of dirt and a woman from that guy's rib. Then that original guy lived for 900 years. That sounds like something someone that just ate a shroom says.
