The United States ranks 39th in the world when it comes to children 'flourishing', falling behind countries including Saudi Arabia and Belarus, a new United Nations backed report says.
The new global index showed children in Norway, South Korea and the Netherlands had the best chance at survival and well-being thanks to good healthcare, education and nutrition.
The report states: 'The USA is a higher income country (HIC) that ranks as the 11th most unequal country in the world (among countries for which we have data on income inequality). Moreover, the child flourishing rank of the USA (39th) is also poor compared with many other HICs, and even some middle income countries (MICs).'

The ranking of countries by per-capita carbon emissions put those and other rich nations, including the US and Australia, close to the bottom on that measure, as major contributors to global health threats driven by climate change.

I've been to Eastern Block Europe before and much of the SEC landscape is akin to it, sans the colder climate.
There's a big (and growing) divide between the haves and have nots in the country. This chart is surprising, but not shocking.

I agree we have some problems (childhood obesity, broken families) but we should at least be in the top 20. No way those old Soviet bloc countries are better.

They are all at least majority white besides Japan, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.

And even those are still overwhelmingly homogeneous when it comes to race/ethnicity.
According to this chart, diversity really isn't our strength.

In Saudi Arabia you only flourish if you’re a male. If you’re female you flourish as solely a baby breeder, willingly or not

I'm noticing a trend in the demographics here.

Japan, Singapore,and Saudi Arabia.
Extremely homogeneous society. Incredibly tight immigration and very little diversity. At least in the first 2.

I would love to see our numbers if certain subsections were removed from the equation.

So you think eugenics is what is gonna ultimately save this country?

Why do you want to exterminate minorities?

The 'sustainability' part of the index ranks countries on how their per-person emissions compare with a 2030 target giving a two-thirds chance of keeping global average temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial times.
Good lord

Is his comment wrong in any or are you simply making suppositions about his implications?
