They listed Decatur and not Mountain Brook. I think whoever made it is clueless

There aren't any cities with a population of less than 25,000 on the list so that must be the minimum population cut off to be included. That's the only reason Mountain Brook isn't on the list.

Then again, you would think that Vestavia Hills (for example), which is a really nice suburb with a population of 38,000 (well over the minimum population cutoff) would rank ahead of places such as Decatur and Dothan in Alabama or Enid in Oklahoma

Brownsville and Odessa are seemingly better places to live than Plano

A lot of the OK cities are ones that frequently get hit by tornadoes.

Yea, Moore, OK is a sea of cul de sacs and chain restaurants.

Enid is actually kind of cool. Nice little downtown w cool stores and restaurants, but ultimately a shell of what it once was.

Broken Arrow, OK is my home base because of family, it's nice as long as you stay east of 169 and south of the BA, but if you like things like hiking, camping, fishing, or hunting your have to drive a while to get to decent places.

Why is is so windy in OK. TX sucks and KS blows.

All valid points. It's difficult to make sense of this ranking. A lot of the city rankings make a lot of sense but a lot of them also make no sense at all.

Mansfield, TX and Mission, TX ranked well ahead of some of the nicest DFW and Houston area suburbs?

Huntsville AL was in the Top 5 for years, even No. 1 or 2 a couple of times. It’s still a great medium sized city. Three of my four kids live there.

Not sure what made it drop. Maybe the criteria or ranking formula changed. It’s definitely growing and maybe infrastructure, traffic, etc., has deteriorated. It surpassed Birmingham as the largest metro area in the state a few years ago.

Top 85 in America is still pretty good.

This is like the best states rankings. One year Washington will be #1 and a year later it will be #6. What happened in 12 months to make it drop 5 spots? It's just click bait.

Chamber of Commerce of said location didn’t raise enough funds to contribute

Exactly. Most of the categories - crime, education, environment etc are like steering the Titanic. They don't really change that much in that short of a time period.

Should have said at the bottom of that write up: paid for by Texas tourism and the State of Texas.

Texas is nice in some areas but give me a break.

The fact they have Laredo, Amarillo and Eagle Pass in that list is a joke…

Agree. Plus the criteria is always up for question.

“Top 5 cities for working remote”

And it ends up being a list of places that have free WiFi at libraries.

Obviously, written by a Texan. ?? But some great places on that list and I agree with many of them but they have nothing on Ocean Springs, Oxford, or Fairhope.
