There has been a major supply reduction due to reduced cattle counts.

This is how we wind up where we are as a country. There is a historical difference that is applicable through 3/16/2026. Do the research and the legislation that is passed when democrats have the ability to push their agenda and when republicans are able to push theirs. Take a look at executive orders and legislation introduced which did not pass in those same periods. There is a noticeable trend that is easily discernable....republicans make the wealthy wealthier and democrats create overtime and child labor laws. Paying attention to campaign promises and campaign rhetoric is insane...pay attention to their actions when in power. One side makes the wealthy wealthier regardless of the cost and the other side attempts to level the playing field, regardless of the cost. That old boy from Texas who has the Texas GOP shitting bricks ain't wrong...you have a decision...are you more concerned with pronouns or prices? There is a difference between the agenda of the 2 parties that exist...unless you are among the investor class and your money works for you instead of you working for it the historical choice is abundantly clear. It is not a perfect track record, mistakes are made on both sides....but the historical actions, again through yesterday and today tomorrow is abundantly clear...there is a difference and depending on where you land on the economic scale the choice is clear, unless of course pronouns are the most important thing in your life.

As frustrating and irrational as it seems it has also resulted in the highest standard of living in the greatest nation man has ever known and has influenced the rest of the world to follow suit. I understand that doesn't jibe with the "coffee is too expensive" and "we ought not be wacking the peckers off babies" crowd but outside of those people who would bitch if you was to hang them with a spanking new rope the irrational and logical among us recognize there has never been a better time in the history of mankind to be alive and barring some catastrophic intervention based on lies about pizza parlor basements there is no indication that the good times are close to being over.

The problem is we have it so good we are scared shitless that it has to end. People have been making that claim since the beginning of time yet man has continued an inexorable march toward progress since our first ancestor stood on his hind legs and said "Damn, the view from up here is fantastic...my back hurts". There have been steps backwards but over time we have progressed because that is human nature....to yearn for a past which never existed while we create a future that was unthinkable just a few generations ago. Fear has always existed and has always held us back, and that is not a bad thing, brakes are necessary lest one runs into a brick wall full speed. Intentionally going back in time, to some period which only existed in the imagination, is not only insane it is impractical....we have evolved, we have progressed, we ain't going back permanently.

Biden fixed this issue. Eat more lentils. Duh.

All I know is that Community Coffee priced me out a few months ago. It has come down a little, but I'm over it now.

Back in the eighties coffee consumption was in steep decline and Big Coffee was so worried they created an ad campaign for it.

We've moved to chicken and pork in my house. I only buy beef if I find it on clearance. If I do I buy it all and vacuum seal it and freeze it.
