I'm still not ok with this FWIW

Don't worry I will be around less in 2021. I'm barely even here now at all. I do like to come in and see what the fat-bellied boomer opinion is on politics, sports and society from time to time, but it's lost its novelty.

Like a zoo I've visited too many times. The lions and tigers lose their appeal, you know?

His inability to accept the simple fact that he lost has caused this entire mess.

it's more than Trump

and there are some rather extreme things that had to happen to allow the DEMs to harvest enough votes to win. the left has rioted for 4 years b/c Trump won without any such help, so it's natural to expect sour grapes at the reasons why Trump lost

A centrist candidate from either party will have a cakewalk to the oval office in 2024

I mean Biden is a centrist Democrat whose policies have shifted a bit more to the left. He will have his hands full trying to push back on the sjw part of the party though. I hope he can.

The trumptard segment of the Republican Party won’t allow for a centrist candidate anytime soon. I would’ve thought about voting for a mitt Romney, John McCain (without the nut job vp candidate) type this time around. I agree that a centrist republican could have a pretty easy time winning in 2024, but the primary process benefits the extremes of the party. So some dumb frick like Hawley will probably get the nom.

Probably less than 10% of this board are boomers.

We've seen this response for weeks, but it's particularly prominent today.

"Sure we are acting badly, but they acted badly first/worse."
Right, it's like they don't realize they're admitting they're exactly the same, no better than those they've been hating on all this time.

I have this crazy idea that we should condemn all people who act badly, not just the ones we don't agree with politically. It's wild and way out there, I know.

You really think Biden is going to be able to run again in 2024?

sour grapes are fine

2 months of wild conspiracy pot-stirring that lead to this display today is less than ideal

In fact, I think he did call to stop the process from happening. Someone who follows him can confirm. But I think I've seen tweets posted on the EB to that effect
He did
Wow. Revisionist history.

Trump keeps setting little fires everywhere about conspiracy theories. He even did it in his speech a few moments ago.

He's been calling for "Patriots" to come to DC to protest.

What did he think would happen when he invites that many powderkegs to the Capital, and he is lighting matches everywhere?!?!

well i've condemned the yokels in DC but there is a TON of hypocrisy going on with the media right now with these mostly peaceful protesters

i also condemned the yokels in Portland, Seattle, etc., so no hypocrisy here

Right, all of those folks on both sides who just blindly support their side are 100% being hypocrites here. Again, on both sides.

It's crazy for sure. Where were all of these condemnations from politicians and media during the BLM/Antifa riots? Nowhere to be seen. So much to hate about this country right now.

Well I disagree. Russia and China are high fiving. No question.

With Biden coming up. He was VP during the reset, when Obama was caught telling Putin’s boy that he could do more after reelection, Hillary’s uranium deal, and when Obama joked the 80s were calling over concerns about Russia . You know China has money ties to Democratic politicians and liberal big tech. China can go back to business as usual. Big tech will have more money to funnel to Democrats.

Have you been paying attention to Democrats and the leftyfada not accepting Trump won the last 4 years???

Do you really want to get into what both party blames the other party of doing?

When Obama was president there was the right that claimed he was a muslim not born in this country, I don't know remember the exact bullshite the left was saying when Bush was in office..

One side isn't any better than the other. We are talking about politicians. There is no such thing as one group of politicians being better than another group of politicians.

But Trump is a manipulator. That's how he has always worked. You have to be completely loyal to him to be in his circle and the second anyone fails to meet his expectation of them, he drops them.

He doesn't do anything unless he has something to gain from it.

All of these people who are die hard loyal Trump supporters.. Trump wouldn't piss on them if they were burning.. Unless it was close to election day and he needed their vote.

Lol. I guess wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Libya and drone wars in Pakistan, Yemen and Somalia just aren't enough for you.

I think most people saying that are pointing out the hypocrisy with how the antifa/blm rioters were dealt with compared to what's going on now.

Both are clearly fricking wrong, but only one side is getting called for it.

The other side had excuses made for them.

People are just getting sick of having to morally posture and apologize on behalf of the right wing when people go and shoot up a congressional baseball team and all we hear from the left is "lol who likes ar-15s now"

Our institutions don't cater to the right, or even the middle. And it's not going to get any better until that changes.

What side am I on now?

I didn't riot or break into any buildings.

Yes, sour grapes are natural.

But what we're seeing today is not sour grapes. Not that you said it was, just pointing out.
