Assassinate. Sabotage. Poison. Protest. These aren't new concepts. Southern civilians lacked the true conviction for their cause.

Slavery was the central issue for the southern states leaving the Union. It was the major issue of the 1860 election. Every state who left the Union listed it as the main reason. To say it wasn't the main issue is either ignorance or stupidity.

I was stationed at Ft. Bragg. You know what absolutely no one talks about at Ft. Bragg.. Braxton Bragg. The military has forged well over 100 years of military history on that place. It’s the home of some of the best soldiers in the world. No one really cares if Bragg was a confederate general.
Keep the name, anything else is just stupid.

The name of my state and the state of NC is derived from Carolus, which is the Latin version of Charles (for Charles I and II). Virginia is named for Queen Elizabeth I. Maryland is named for Queen Henrietta Maria, wife of Charles I. Georgia is named for King George II. I guess it's time for these states to get busy right?
