40 years of suing, paying farmers not to grow tobacco, billions in anti smoking legislation…and we just let this chemical bullshite take its place.

Tell me again why we care if stupid people want to give themselves cancer? Long run, it has to be a net gain for humanity despite the short look on insurance prices right?

U.S. cigarette smoking dropped to another all-time low last year, with 1 in 9 adults who are still cool.

I thought these statistics were low until I traveled outside of the Deep South. Smoking rates are way higher here among all demographics it seems

I smoked for about a year and that was 45+ years ago. I occasionally miss it and have dreams about smoking

I still smoke when I drink on weekends

I’ve never smoked regularly. I hate it without alcohol and feel no need to smoke otherwise. It’s weird

This is a HUGE RED Flag that they will soon be going after the Vape Stores!! Just watch.. they (the Gov and Media) will drip feed horrible, awful stories about Vaping and then BOOM, vape stores will be illegal.

But then it will be in a shitty neighborhood. You might as well just smoke

1. Non smokers ultimately pay for all these trashy people’s cancer treatments
2. Second hand smoke is dangerous and obnoxious

My grandfather told me when he was about 98 years old he had stopped smoking in his mid 40’s because he didn’t want my dad to pick up the habit. He then preceded to tell me that not a day went by when he still didn’t long for one. He smoked for roughly 30 years I think.

As a taxpayer, I most definitely care. A significant percentage of smokers are poor. Who do you think pays the medical bills for all those years of treatment when they cannot pay it? It is estimated that taxpayers pay about 60% of the smoking attributable medical costs through government funded Medicare and Medicare. If you become a taxpayer you will care, too.

Quit smoking 8 years ago. Don't miss it at all, and I reaffirm that feeling everytime I happen to see the prices for a pack these days.

I gotta Be honest, if you’re under the age of 80 and smoke, you’re a fricking moron.

Is vaping and electronic cigarettes the same thing or are they different?

My late father said the same. He quit smoking two decades ago, and afterwards told me that he woud have dreams of sneaking a smoke.

Both my father and father-in-law, smoked, quit years ago, and still died of complications related to COPD. It seems that if you're going to smoke, you may as well enjoy it, because it tags you forever. You may as well keep lighting up and just hope that you're one of those guys that can smoke into their 90's. Leonard Nimoy said that same thing, that his docs told him that even though he quit decades ago, it still damaged his lungs and was going to be a direct cause in his death.

The Old Row Instagram account is pushing cigarettes hard as the cool thing for fratstars. I don't know what their angle is.

One of my fraternity brothers was a chain smoker. The last time I saw him he weighed about 125 lbs, had had several cardiovascular events and no longer had full use of his right arm.
