Under anesthesia, doctor sticks tube in your dick guided through your bladder, into ureter and eventually kidney with a laser on the end to dissolve kidney stones.

Anyone had one of these and want to share the experience? Mostly what I’m looking for is the recovery needed post procedure.
How long were you laid up for? How quickly did you get back to strenuous exercise?

Is ultrasound lithotripsy not an option?

Painless outside of the first post-op piss.

I have had three lithotripsys to make passing kidney stones pain free. You are under anesthesia and ultrasonic waves are used to crush the kidney stone into little bits which are then passed. The procedure is done externally with the ultrasonic waves directed on your lower back and focused on the location of the kidney stone.

Nothing like you described.

There’s a girl on Plank Road who will do this for you whether you have kidney stones or not.

Had it done, drove up in the morning. They won’t let you drive home. Had a friend pick me up. About two hours later, I went back and picked up my truck, went about the rest of the day. About 10-12 days later, the stent was removed. The next day I drove 8 1/2 hours, 550 miles. No problem.

Be a man and pass it on your own

Jk, they suck so bad. I've passed about 4-5 in my lifetime but my dad used to do the sonic bath thing to break them up.

I had a stone that was not passing on its own, Dr said she would stick a tube into the kidney and zap it and or pull it out, well I know a little about anatomy and asked how she was going to get to my kidney by sticking a tube down my throat.... She laughed and said she was not going to be sticking a tube down my throat

anyway she must of scared me into passing it, cause the next morning I passed it all on my own

good luck

Worst part for me was the stent removal.

I actually don’t know the answer. I’ll have to check.
A quick rundown. I’m in my 40s. This is my fifth or sixth stone over 15 years. I’ve had this bout for about 3 months now, which is not unheard of for me. This stone is 5mm with a possible second one hidden behind it. Another small one in the kidney that he’ll try to snag. Maybe that gives some light into why sound wave therapy not offered. But I will follow up with doc on this.

Tell me more about this! What does this involve? Sounds terrible.

I had just the ureteroscopy to remove a stone that was low near the bladder. Just before they put me under, I told the nurse, I really didn't want the stent. I'd heard about the stent. nope, no such luck. gives me the willies thinking about it but the removal was really painless. a vicodin and percoset (prescribed) an hr. beforehand took care of that.

This is the weird part for me, and I've had it done 3 times over the years due to large kidney stones needing to be removed.

My removal was done in the Drs. office and I was wide awake and aware of every move he made. The length of that stent is what still makes me cringe since the ones he's pulled out of me were at least 12 inches long.

Talk about a very weird sensation having that thing slide out of your Johnson...........

The first time, seeing that removal tool! Like WTH? Wasn’t bad. But then again, I enjoy pain.

They stick a scope with a grabber up your dick hole and pull the stent out of your ureter and back out your dick.
Good Times.

Lucky. All I got was the numbing stuff they squirt in your peehole beforehand.
