Content Warning: The following narrative references a Home Invasion and Lewd Conduct.

The purpose of this communication is to notify our community of an apparent pattern of incidents near the uptown campus.


DATE & TIME OF OCCURRENCE: April 14th, 1PM, and April 20th at 4:10 AM

LOCATION: 7500 Block of Freret and 800 Block of Broadway

REPORTED OFFENSE: Home Invasion / Lewd Conduct

Incident #1: On April 14th, at about 1PM the victim was exiting the shower in her off-campus residence, when she walked into the bedroom, she encountered the below described subject. There was a brief physical struggle, and she was able to force him out of her home.

Incident #2: On April 20th, a second reporting person was reviewing doorbell camera footage from the previous evening, and she observed that at 4:10 am the below described subject was masturbating in view of the camera.

The victim in incident #1 is acquainted with the reporting person from incident #2 and after reviewing footage from incident #2, the victim in incident #1 strongly believes that the perpetrator is the same for both incidents.

Both incidents are under investigation by TUPD.

SUSPECT’S DESCRIPTION:

Black Male, approximately 30-35 years old, 5’08-5’10 tall, skinny but muscular build, long black dreadlocks with two bleach blonde front dreadlocks, a tattoo on at least one forearm, wearing a matching black tee shirt with black shorts featuring pink & orange writing.
Black Male, thin build and unknown height with shoulder length brown dreadlocks, wearing white pants with pink splotches, gray tank top, blue boxers and bright yellow and black sneakers.

No idea how the guy got into the first persons house unless she just leaves the front door totally unlocked. Weird that unless he was just going door to door jiggling handles that he would find an open house WITH a woman who was currently showering.
