all the virtue signaling in this thread is laughable. Every one finding fault would be livid if it was happening next to them.
I love aviation so I would be like a little kid outside watching them land every day

I remember when Katrina came to visit. Helicopters were coming from Charity and other hospitals to the hospitals here in Badden Ruge. We lived near the original Woman's Hospital and it was a constant flow for about a week. Averaging 2 per hour.During the first couple of days I would have Blackhawks hovering over our house waiting to land,it was cool. We didn't complain, they were saving lives.

I lived right up against a train track in Tuscaloosa when I was in school. Got used to that shite in like a day or two.

I recently moved to the Point. I can hear the train whistles in the Bywater clearly across the river. I'm about to start calling Kristen Palmer to complain and demand that a sound barrier be installed on top of both levees.

so would I. But I've lived next to a train track and also sleep with a sound machine. Wouldn't bother me a bit.
would be cooler tho if it was military instead of civilian aircraft.

Every now and then the Coast Guard chopper will practice "touch and goes" on Touro's helipad... I watched that shite for like 30 minutes from one of the ICUs that has a clear shot to the pad...

I'm down Degaulle from you a bit in Park Timbers and we hear the sirens from the fire station on Woodland all the time. We haven't lawyered up yet though.

Die-hard Uptown homeowner types are a special kind of stupid.

FYI I used to live near here. The helicopter is the least of their noise problems. The port is right there and they slam shite down (or whatever they are doing there) so hard it shakes your house. A train rolls by too.
Not sure how that plays into this.

Maybe you can tell me why people going to hospital can’t park on Tchop??? Just recently I was told I would get a ticket for parking on the street.

My daughter played in a softball tournament right there at the Fly a couple summers ago. I was talking to some coaches and parents at the beer stand between games. I was floored when they told me that during the local little league season, they'll stop play and the players take a knee when a helicopter is landing at the hospital.
Crazy how perspectives are completely opposite.

yep..they all stop play and get on a knee until the helo lands..they do the same thing at Avenger.
At Avenger you can see the kids in the windows watching the baseball games, lacrosse or baseball practice or flag football or whatever is going on....it's very cool and touching to see those kids be able to sit up there and have some sports to watch

It could get real old real quick Depending on number and time. One a day and mostly during the day while at work? Whatever.
Late night or overnight and regularly over dinner... after 2-3 of those patience would run real thin real fast.
