Bingo - correct answer. I have been at one that no matter what, ask you to move forward. It doesn't matter if its very early in the morning and no one is behind you. Obviously, I do not go there anymore.

I always thought that this was only true for people who don’t pull out?

What about if they ask you to pull forward and there is nobody behind you? Seems like bullshite.

If i have a large order or getting something that’s out of their ordinary I’m down to get out of the way and wait...

Go to BK and it’s slammed at lunch and your ordering 4 fish sandwiches and 100 nuggets for the office - get the hell out of the way. It’s an average day and you are grabbing yourself a whopper - well, give me my burger here.

How about the guy that pulls up, but not far enough to let the guy behind him get around.

Bold strategy though imo considering who’s making your food

I seriously doubt the guy making my sausage and biscuit knows that I'm not moving until I get my order. Spitting on the food? That can happen anytime anywhere for any reason. If I'm that concerned I just won't eat out again.

The crux of all this waiting is when these businesses expand the number of order lanes, pay windows and pick-up windows without expanding the most important thing - the damn kitchen.

I’m amazed at how many people are rude to people with the power to contaminate their food.
I had a rich acquaintance who was constantly an a-hole to the waitstaff. No telling how much spit, piss and dingleberry he’s ingested.

I’m sure they would love for you to ask for a refund. They can get caught up that much faster. I’m sure this 18 billion dollar company can do without your $5.90 purchase but you really are showing them by canceling your order and driving off.

I refused to pull forward once, but I was in a real shitty mood already. Otherwise I usually pull up.

I will never forget the look on the girls face, when I said no to her request to pull up. She called the manager over, manager repeated the request as if I didn’t hear it the first time. Then she refunded my purchase amount, but I already had my drink, so I ended up on the better end of the deal. I pulled away to the competition across the street, had my order and was on my way, before the car that was behind me received their food whilst pulled up.

I probably wouldn’t have refused, if I hadn’t already witnessed all the cars that had pulled forward ahead of me receive their orders in the exact order that they pulled forward. Nothing had been gained by the whole pulling forward exercise. It’s not like one of the cars in back got their order and was able to go about their day before one of the cars ahead. I realize that may not be the case every time, but in this particular case it’s how it was.

But why? You don’t get your shite any faster. It just means the people behind you ordered something that’s already ready and the are actually cooking your stuff. It doesn’t take any longer for you.

I especially hate when at 2am Burger King asks you to back up so they can put their magnet on a string over the sensor in the ground to cheat their timers.

I get pissed off because every time I've been asked to pull forward, it's been for a standard order. Nothing special, and then they'll get two or three people through while I sit in a parking space.

The first time I was asked to pull forward, I had already payed at a McDonald's and I sat in the parking space for 15 minutes. I walked inside, asked for the manager and showed her my receipt and told her how long I'd been waiting. Fortunately, I got my food and a refund.

Those staffs can go frick themselves.

I do pull forward, though. Not for them, but because if I have a chance to help the line move better, I will for the benefit of those behind me who are at the mercy of the same bullshite. I just may not be back at that place for a year or so.

Chick-Fil-A are the GOATs. Never been asked to pull forward at a CFA. Because they hire good staff and enforce high customer service standards. Guess which fast food joint I eat at most often? Funny how that works.

I pull forward and it’s never a problem. Sometimes I think about asking for a refund but figure that’s be even more of a hassle.
